Most doors can have BrightLock fitted. They just need to meet the following criteria:

  • The door is inside or sheltered from the weather
  • The door has a European cylinder
  • The door doesn't have accessories (cylinder guards or bolts) or specific systems (e.g. the door handle has to be lifted to secure the lock, a multipoint lock)

An example of a door that is compatible with BrightLock:

  • The door is inside and opens into a storeroom ✔️
  • The door has a European cylinder ✔️
  • It locks without the handle needing to be lifted and doesn't have any specific systems ✔️

An example of a door that is not compatible with BrightLock:

  • It is a front door ✔️
  • You don't know if it has a European cylinder as you can't see it because it is hidden by a metal cap ✖️
  • To lock the door, you have to push it hard and lift the handle until it clicks ✖️

Another example of a door that is not compatible with BrightLock:

  • The door is to a little office ✔️
  • You can't see the cylinder profile: there is just a hole for the key ✖️
  • The door closes easily without friction and doesn't have special accessories ✔️
